HOW IT WORKS
The Ignition Lag as the time needed to ignite 20% of the injected fuel, is reduced. The Products of Combustion now do more work on the pistons. The Peak Combustion Temperature Profile is lowered to reduce NOX emissions. There is More Time to burn out unwanted emissions.

HOW IT IS APPLIED TO THE VALVES
The Faces of Individual Valves are milled down. Only a Few Thou of Material is removed to the thickness of the catalytic coating. The Compression Ratio is unchanged. The GreenCoat^® as an all metal catalyst is thermally sprayed to sustain an integral bond.
